Activate delivery automatically based on the WEIGHT OF PRODUCTS

Discover ClickEshop automatic functions and let the system to activate delivery automatically based on the weight of products. Your customers will be offered only such modes of delivery that suit a mathematical formula based on the weight of products (e.g. Standard Post- parcels up to 2kg, Standard Post- parcels up to 10kg, Express Courier - parcels up to 20kg, Express Courier - parcels up to 100kg).

 

First of all it is needed to set weight for each product, so the system will be able to calculate the total weight of ordered products.  Please follow the steps below: 

  • sign in into ClickEshop administrator and in the [Content management] click on a product
  • in the left tool bar click "Edit Product"
  • system opens a new window with Product settings
  • enter weight of product and click the button "Save"
  • in this way it is possible to enter weight of all products individually
  • weight of the products can be inserted in bulk via Batch export / Batch import (for more information about Batch export / Batch import click here )

 

The next step is to create weight based delivery. Please follow the steps below:

  • in ClickEshop administrator click [Global Settings] - [Delivery]
  • click button [Add new delivery]
  • the field "Active record" keep marked
  • "Delivery method" - fill in the name ( e.g. Express Courier - parcels up to 20kg )
  • "Description" - you can type additional information for customers
  • fill in the delivery charges
  • the field "Extra costs in %" is optional. The total price for delivery will be increased by extra cost calculated from the total order value (e.g. package insurance)
  • in the field "Activate delivery method automatically based on the total weight of ordered products" enter the minimum weight "Activate only at the weight from" or/and the maximum weight "Total weight up to". (e.g. Express Courier - parcels up to 20kg fill "Total weight up to": 20.00)
  • weight based delivery can take into account also the total order value. Just fill in the minimum or/and the maximum order value in the field "Activate delivery method automatically based on the total order amount"
  • to confirm changes it is needed to click button [Save]
